Of all the weekends to go away…

Now, it’s nice and sunny in the Lake District and we’ve found a great little pub called The Engine Inn BUT BUT BUT…I am missing probably the biggest tourist weekend in Wirral this Millennium…the Tall Ships’ Races are bringing around 1 million visitors to either side of the Mersey while, up at Birkdale, there’s a game of golf, apparently…
