I’m pleased to report that someone from United Utilities has been in touch and wants to meet regarding the situation at Reeds Lane. I’ve also heard from the Council’s engineers that they also want to meet UU. I’ve emailed many of the residents nearby and will report back as soon as we get a date.
I’ve been away for a few days at the annual Tory knees up, this time in Birmingham. In between the bars, I went along to a meeting on the problems of flooding in residential areas. Leah Fraser invited me along and I met with someone from the Environment Agency and the Shadow Minister for Flooding, Anne McIntosh. I’ll make sense of all my notes in the next couple of days and report back here.
