I’m pleased to see that Saj Karim, one of the Conservative MEPs for Wirral (and the North West), is home after his horrific ordeal in the Mumbai terrorist attacks. 

Saj has been one of the key figures in developing trade between the UK and the growing Indian economy.  I’m sure his wife, children and many friends are pleased he is home safe, at last.

Saj is one of the Conservative candidates for the next European Elections in June 2009.  He had agreed to come to Wallasey next month to campaign with Leah Fraser, I’m hoping he’ll still be able to.  Not least for his young son who particularly enjoyed the chocolates on Leah’s Christmas tree last year!
