Tonight, I attended the meeting of the Area Forum to allocate money from the ‘Community Initiatives Fund’ for local good causes that have asked for help.  I was pleased to support, among others:

• Sending 10 disadvantaged youngsters from Leasowe on a weeks’ holiday in North Wales (£1,480)
• Providing new facilities for the Pensioners Lunch Club (£2,500)
• Support for counselling for victims of domestic violence £700)
• Helping people who have been involved in car crashes (£890)
